FIFA investigating WHUFC over Haller payment (C&P)

Friday July 03 2020, 12.01am, The Times

West Ham United are facing the threat of sanctions from Fifa after defaulting on a £5.4 million payment owed over the transfer of striker Sébastien Haller from Eintracht Frankfurt.

Fifa has confirmed to The Times that the German club has lodged a complaint relating to West Ham, which has set in motion an investigation.

Haller, 26, had cost West Ham £45 million when they signed him from the Bundesliga club last summer with the fee to be paid in instalments. The latest instalment of £5.4million was due on May 15 but was not paid, leading to Frankfurt reporting the matter to the world governing body.

There's no zip to him. He just seems to mope around the pitch.

Looks like a very easy player to play against. I suspect defenders put him down as a relaxing day at the office.

Overall I've been far from impressed and i'm not sure about his attitude.

I wouldn't be disappointed if we cut our loses and got shot of him.

I'm just pleased that Haller somehow got injured when no matches were being played. We look so much more motivated and purposeful without his morose attitude..

It’s impossible to draw any conclusions because we don’t know anything from West Ham’s side.

Storm in a tea cup is my best bet though.

If you think he’s rubbish then football isn’t for you.
In the box he’s a very good finisher. Without injuries he’d have got about 12 goals this season. Unfortunately that’s what £45m gets you.

Needs to work on his hold up play and pressing from the front. Sometimes he will be isolated and he needs to find a way of making it work.

"Could not hit the side of the barn door". Not sure which games have you been watching but I can remember him missing 1 or 2 chances..

I thought he was injured?

Should he play through injury because he cost a lot of money?

Shame about covid - felt he was starting to settle and play well just before the season got postponed.

May 15 was the last working day before the weekend which was to be the end of the premier league season.
It’s possible that the actual contract describes the due date as above rather than an actual date and we are arguing that July 24 is actually now the last working day before the last weekend of the season.

Re: FIFA investigating WHUFC over Haller payment (C&P)
Is it true that the reason we haven't paid is because the agreement was that we'd pay the outstanding amount when the season is finished? We're claiming that the season isn't over whilst they say the money should have been paid when the season should have finished?

The owners are 1st degree shysters. Of that fact there can be little doubt.
However. Having run a business I can confirm that when you agree payments for end of season dates it's because you'd be expecting to receive end of season payments.
If due to Covid the payments don't happen then they have to find money elsewhere...
Being the shysters they are they run everything on a knife-edge ensuring the business can pay their own outrageously high living standards.
I'd love to see them fail but not at WH's expense so we're stuck with the wankers and only have to look forward to their off-springs taking over...

Yeah , I'm open to the possibility Frankfurt are in the wrong.
That would mean both sets of owners are embarrassing twats.

How's that?
